Busy Life

Wow. I can't believe how full life is at this moment. I've done some nice trips recently, Rhode Island, Lithuania, but that seems ages ago, and I haven't really thought those trips over - let alone listen to the recording of my solo in Providence, or acting on plans me and Tom Tlalim were talking about in Vilnius - about playing more as a duo, and possibly adding others - more into noisy stuff, maybe even a hint of rock. Then there's Shackle with Anne LaBerge, with which we plan a tour in October 2007 - she's done quite some work on that, but I can barely free some mindspace preparing for rehearsals. Same for the upcoming trip with OfficeR to Trondheim. Tomorrow we're rehearsing, but I haven't really thought about it yet...

Then there's the new house - an endless pit of little bits of work - fun too, but it all takes time.

Complain complain complain. Makes me think of a song by my still favorite metalband King's X - 'complain, so much easier'.

So what else? Well, the Mobile Music Workshop, organized by STEIM and Waag Society (links here, here, here and here), working with Smadar Dreyfus on her new installation Mother's Day, working for the installation Voice Over Voice, to be shown at the Festival a/d Werf, Utrecht, and finally, getting the flu...

Can't even find the time to drive around in my Lincoln Continental. That says it all ;)

O yes. Recent acquisitions:
Blonde Redhead - 23 (whining rock, beautiful)
Machine Head - The Blackening (according to my neighbour: their 'master of puppets' - quite literal - engaging guitar solo's, high energy metal - great!)
Nobukazu Takemura - Scope (knew this one already - fabulous digital music)

And worth listening to (no - downloading not possible ;):
